AMC to issue preferred stock under the ticker symbol ‘APE’

AMC Entertainment seems to have tracked down a clever fix to support its portion count and raise subsidizes after financial backers recoiled from a proposition to give more offers keep going year.

AMC on Thursday said it intends to give a profit to all normal investors as favored shares. The organization hopes to give a profit of around 517 million APE units in the not so distant future. The offers will begin exchanging on Aug. 22. The new class of offers conveys similar democratic privileges as the current normal offers, the company said in a release.

AMC raised billions during the pandemic by selling new stock yet ran out of offers to sell. Financial backers, dreading weakening, dismissed the organization’s endeavors to give extra stock.

These favored value units are a workaround, of sorts, and let loose AMC to sell extra units of stock as it keeps on resuscitating its business after the pandemic.
